Apple's iPhone 6 & 6 Plus a Big Hit in Durability

According to analysts, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are far more durable than all its predecessors and the latest Android phones.

There have been several tests on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, such as the break down of your smartphone during day-to-day accidents, but iPhone has successfully did the best in all such tests. The iPhone 6 Plus was just point behind as it could get slipped out of hand because of it's bigger size and slim body that makes it hard to grip.

The smartphones had been tested by eight major factors, including weight, grip, size, front and back panel's durability, the distance it moves when slides on a flat table, sustaining a drop from 4 feet and finally the capability to sunk in water for 10 seconds.

Robots are used to perform all the tests to maintain consistency. The smartphones are rated on a scale of 10 on a durability scale, with 10 denoting the highest risk of getting damaged. Among the 4 smartphones, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5S and Samsung Galaxy S5:

  • iPhone 6 was the best with 4 points,
  • iPhone 6 Plus stood second with 5 points.
  • iPhone 5S got a 6
  • Samsung Galaxy S5 scored a 6.5.

This time apart from bigger screens, Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus also announced Apple Pay, a simplified way to make your payments. iPhone 6 is initially available at $199 on two years contract and it's on sale since last week in US and other 9 countries.
