Nikon 1 V3 Unveils Camera that Outruns DSLRs


Nikon has unveiled its latest camera 1 V3, which is the 1 series of mirrorless cameras. It has an 18.4 MP sensor, 1080/60p video capability, built-in WiFi and a new image processing chip. It also includes a shooting capability of 20 frames per second with autofocus, it's the fastest ever been seen by an interchangeable lens cameras.

A slow motion 720p video recording at 120 fps with 170 densely packed focus points claiming much better ability than DSLRs to track moving objects.

A tilted 3-inch touch screen LCD panel with two new NIKKOR lenses. a 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 PD-Zoom and 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 are available for $300 and $1,000, respectively. For more details check Nikon's website and look at this brief demo footage.

Q-Warrior, a high-tech headgear created by BAE Systems, a company based in United Kingdoms provides a colorful 3D display to the soldiers of the area outside their line-of-control. It provides a boost to the vision of the soldier rendering all the important information.

Though, it has not been confirmed, BAE systems will provide such headgears to U.S. military for test-run Q-Warrior, but they both said agreed that it just a matter of time as soldiers will be using such headgears in future.

The scientists at University of Washington has created LED which is three atoms thick and the thinnest LED to date. The major ingradient used is Tungsten Diselenide, currently the thinnest semiconductor. The single sheet of this material is less than a tenth part of the usual LED, but emits a reasonable amount of light.

This thing is flexible and strong too, so in future it can be used as optical circuits, nanolasers and many other electronic display devices. It can be a major breakthrough if this LED is used in mobile devices.
