Rumors Depicting Apple iWatch Release Date, Features & Specs – Will it be Solar Powered?


It has been rumored that Apple is exploring and experimenting alternative source of energy to enhance the battery life of its devices. Whether they will introduce such feature in its much awaited and hiked Apple iWatch.

Long battery seems to be on first priority in must-have list for iWatch. The New York Times posted that Apple is testing other better and innovative technology for charging that includes inductive, solar and even motion charging to provide a boost to the battery life. Earlier it was also rumored that iWatch will also possess features that can automate your home appliances such as air-conditioners, heaters, music-systems etc.

Apple iWatch came into news around 2012 and its release was rumored to be at the end of 2014. Some Chinese websites were the first one to reveal its spec, 1.5inch screen, bluetooth to communicate with other devices including iPhone, it will also introduce siri voice control for easy navigation via the device.



According to International Business Times report "...early versions of the iWatch were only seeing a battery life of two to three days. This made Apple look into other screen technologies to help extend the battery life between charges. OLED is known for its better power consumption compared to tradition LCD screens, but some are suggesting that Apple is exploring options other than OLED. "
