Samsung Unwrapping It's Latest Galaxy S5 Today


Samsung will unveil its latest and much hyped Galaxy S5 on Monday i.e., 24th Feb 2014 at an event scheduled at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. 



Samsung Galaxy S5 is reported to have large screen of 5.24 inch, a fingerprint scanner on the home button, water-proof and a dust-proof case and a 16 megapixel front camera. Samsung has already distributed invitations for "Samsung unpacked 5" event on monday at Barcelona in Spain.

"I don’t believe Samsung will go down the route of making a metal device just because other manufacturers are." - Kyle Brown, Head of Technical Product Management within Samsung’s IM division

Samsung is now moving towards it's weakest mobile annual profit growth in seven years with tough competition from Apple and other smartphone companies and due to the saturation point arising because of the rise of high-end smartphones in the market.

Earlier, Samsung has also launched it second version of Galaxy Gear watch known as "Gear 2", after the first version drew some critics. Samsung also ditched Google's Android and used its own operating system in "Gear 2".

The watch is available in two models, "The Gear 2" and "The Gear 2 Neo" which will not have a camera. Both watches will be powered by Tizen operating system developed by Samsung and other partners to get rid from Android.
