Microsoft Skips Windows 9: Unveils Windows 10

Looking for Windows 9, here's Windows 10. Microsoft, the huge tech giant on Tuesday announced its latest operating system Windows 10 shadowing its most unpopular Windows 8, skipping a number what people thought to be Windows 9.

Windows is a leading operating system with majority of the personal computers running on it worldwide is now aiming to recapture the business market by alluring looks and remarkable features of Windows 10.

Terry Myerson, head of Microsoft's operating system said, "Windows 10 will be our greatest enterprise platform ever".

Windows 8 was a big failure as only 20 % organizations switched over to Windows 8 all over the world. The touch based interface of Windows 8 was disliked by many PC users as they were habitual of using traditional start button pop-up menu.

Windows 10: "The Best Enterprise Platform Ever"

The Windows 10 project was also known as "Threshold" internally, as it can offer several hardware features just from a single platform and developers can develop universal apps that can be used anywhere. According to some trusted sources, the end product will look more like the traditional Windows 7 operating system.

Terry Myerson also said that "Windows 10 will deliver the right experience on the right device at the right time, and it will run on the broadest types of devices ever". The interface could be more likely a combination of Windows 7 and 8, borrowing the designing patterns from the previous versions of Windows.

It is expected that Microsoft will perform a preview test of Windows 10 within a time frame of a week & most probably will launch the operating system in the mid-spring of 2015.
