"Seven Years Journey" – A Tribute to Apple iPhone


Since January 9, 2007 when Apple introduced its first iPhone, it has revolutionized the definition of smart phones. Today the iPhone is much thinner, lighter and faster than any one could have ever imagined. Let's have a turn back at every single model of iPhone and its features till the latest flagship model iPhone 5S.




The Original iPhone (The First of It's Kind)

 

 

On January 9, 2007, Apple introduced its first iPhone to the world revolutionizing how a touch screen could function on a phone. It was truly the first smartphone as other phones weren't smart considering todays standards. It provided innovative features enhancing the industry of music players. Apple laid a perfect platform for itself and its competitors to manufacture smartphones that we see in the market today.

iPhone 3G was introduced in 2008 and in the same year Apple commenced its app store. Suddenly there was a huge pool of applications in the app store available for iPhone. To expand the list of app store, developers were given access to SDKs for their contribution. Apple offered this smartphone at reasonable price with incredible features that no one had envisioned in 2008.

And then Apple started its S-series. iPhone 3GS is the first S-series model of more-to-come by Apple. With iPhone 3GS, Apple enhanced the speed allowing users to record videos that wasn't available in the previous two models. Video recording was latest feature in improvising the camera of iPhone 3GS.

iPhone 4 (Most Traded-in Smartphone of 2013)

 

 

iPhone 4 is considered as the "Biggest Leap" since its original iPhone. With iPhone 4, Apple introduced a new radical design with glass exterior on the front and attractive metal bands around the edge of the device. The device was leaked prior to its launch but despite iPhone 4 achieved a huge success. This device had a retina display and improved camera functions including a LED flash, 5 megapixel sensor and autofocus.

In this model, Again Apple decided to go for speed and introduced A5 chip which is still popular and used in some recent Apple devices including the first generation iPad mini, iPhone 4S and the fifth generation iPod touch. The design was similar to iPhone 4 but Apple implemented SIRI, a digital voice assistant application for performing different tasks such as web search and reading/writing text messages. It also incorporated an 8 MP iSight camera that made it popular among the pro photographers.

iPhone 5 was among the most awaited smartphone as iPhone fans were expecting for a major upgrade. For the first time Apple introduced a 4" Inch screen for iPhone 5 and lightining connector. Apple made it amazingly fast with A6 chip and thinner than all the previous models and also added a high quality front camera for HD FaceTime view.

Finally, we have iPhone 5S and 5C, the latest Flagship phones by Apple. iPhone 5S is the best device the company has ever produced in its smartphone line. The features include Touch ID, A7 chip, M7 co-Processor, enhanced camera for low light images, TruTone Flash and iOS 7.

iPhone 5C (A Colorful Desire)

Alongside iPhone 5S which boomed according to aspiring expectations, Apple also introduced iPhone 5C. For the first time Apple launched two iPhones at the same time. iPhone 5C has a outer body made of plastic just like 3G and 3GS and the same internals as the iPhone 5S with a slightly larger battery. iPhone 5C is encompassed with A6 chip and is available in four different colors.
