Oppo is World's First Phone that can Shoot 50MP Photos (Videos)


Oppo has launched its smartphone "Find 7" that has capability of shooting pictures and videos at 50 MegaPixels in Beijing. This smartphone is first of its kind with such shooting capabilities in the world.

Oppo Find 7 runs on Android 4.3 device and it has a sensor which is 13-megapixel Sony IMX214 CMOS, so it's actually a software trick that it grabs 50-Megapixel photos, but the results are surprisingly good.

This phone possesses a latest image signal processor known as Pure Image 2.0, which enables this "Hyper Zoom" 50-megapixel creative image. It also captures 10 consecutive images at a rapid speed, picking four best shots and combining them to generate a 50-megapixel still.


Other features include 4K video recording at 30 fps, slow-motion video recording at 100 fps, long exposure upto 32 seconds and high definition GIF creation. It is also equipped with a 5.0 MP front facing camera.

Google Takes on an Android Gaming Platform: Green Throttle Games


Google has reportedly purchased Green Throttle Games, an Android gaming platform. Green Throttle Games paid the price for being late to the Android gaming platform party and got wounded at the end of 2013.

Google, however has confirmed this news to PandoDaily that it has purchesed some major parts of GreenThrottle's business, including its with labor and parts alongwith two co-founders. 

Though there's no update provided by the Mountain View crew, but according to some relevant sources Google will refine the Bluetooth controller for its long-fabled TV set-top box.

It clearly suggests that Google is more intended to show interest in extending beyond mobiles and softwares.

Boeing Launches a SmartPhone with Suicidal Instincts if Tampered


This smartphone is not for an average user, but Boeing's Black is meant for government officials with highly classified information on their mobile devices. If this phone is tampered by any person unfamiliar, then it will take it's own doze of cyanide for self-destruction, according to ABI's Stephanie Van Vactor. 

Boeing has already applied for an application with the United States Federal Communications Commission for the most secured Android smartphones known as "Black", that can self destruct if someone tries to open the case.

Black has several secured endless modularity capabilities and embedded hardware security features that can be configured through software, according to Boeing. The company will most probably offer this phone to U.S. defense communities.

Lenovo Unveils Its Second Smartphone: S850


Lenovo launched its second smartphone S850 at an event at Barcelona, Spain after its brilliant work as S860. Despite their similar looks, the features of both phones are very different.

The previous model S860 is 10mm thick, while the S850 has a 8.2mm slender body. Their body color and designs are also very different as S850 comes only in white & pink and its chasis is made-up of glass similar to iPhone 4 and 4S.

Lenovo S850 is also much cheaper, with a US price of $269 of an unlocked phone, whereas S860 comes in at $349. S850 also comes with a back glowing Lenovo logo whose color can be customized according to different notifications.

Samsung Eyeing Galaxy S5 by April 2014: Eye Scanner Unveiled


Samsung is planning to unveil its next smartphone Galaxy S5 by April 2014 and most likely will introduce an eye scanner technology for the first time producing high-end devices to compete with Apple's iPhone.

Samsung Galaxy S5 is also supposed to be paired with the latest wearable device "Galaxy Gear SmartWatch". Last year Apple released iPhone 5S and 5C in September including a fingerprint scanner in 5S. This time Samsung is considering to include an eye scanner in its high-end devices.

Lee Seung Woo, an analyst from IBK securities said that "The release of the S5 will be very important to Samsung, and the Competition is going to intensify, and it's not going to be an easy year for the company.". According to her the design of the next Galaxy S5 is going to be different from its previous versions.

It has been rumored that Samsung is going to launch its much awaited smartphone Samsung Galaxy S5 in January 2014. The expectations are never ending and this time its Samsung prepping to offer its latest product with some new and astonishing features.

There is a mere gap of nine months between last iteration of Samsung Galaxy S series. Samsung Galaxy S4 was earlier launched in April within this year. According to Naver, a Korean news site Samsung will come out with a teaser of Galaxy S5 in mid-January and has planning to set the launch in February 2014, that could be the part of Mobile World Congress held at Barcelona as Samsung has a well reputation there in the past.

It has also been come into news that Samsung may use the January Consumer Electronics Show to exhibit their device as a new product of their Galaxy S series. The major feature of Samsung Galaxy S5 could be the 16-megapixel camera, slightly better than Galaxy S4's 13-megapixel camera. It has also been rumored to possess a new optical image stabilization feature and a new Samsung Exynos processor replacing the old Qualcomm Snapdragon chilp in the previous Galaxy S phone.
