The first Lumia Phone by
Microsoft without the label Nokia is great departure. Microsoft comes
out with a new chapter in branding and mobile devices.
Microsoft launches Lumia 535 on Monday, its first Lumia phone by dumping the brand label
Nokia. In April, 2014 Microsoft bought the brand Nokia in a $7.2
billion deal and got the authority to launch new Lumia phones on its
own, and also allowed to keep the brand name Nokia for a short period
of time.
This new Lumia device runs
on Windows 8.1, the latest mobile operating system by Microsoft. It
possesses a quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor and
has a great picture display with a 5-inch and 960x540 pixel density.
Microsoft still awaits for
the jump-start as the operating system still holds only just 2.5%
stake in mobile devices across the world. In comparison, Google's
Android runs on more than 85% of mobile devices across the world.
Microsoft has already sold
9.3 million Lumia phones in this quarter, it's almost 5.6% above the
Lumia phones sold in the previous one.
